Hello fellow Landlords and welcome to my website. First let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Mike McLean and I have been a Section 8 Landlord for the last thirteen years. If being a bottom feeder is good for one thing, itâ€™s becoming a professional at taking Tenants to court.
Time after time Iâ€™d leave the courtroom scratching my head and say, â€œWhat the hell just happened in there?â€ After losing one too many eviction hearings I realized that every store or internet Lease that I purchased wasnâ€™t worth the paper it was printed on! Judges, Tenants, and Tenantâ€™s attorneys would shoot holes through the Lease that I used and would either buy themselves more time to stay in my property for free or wiggle themselves out of paying for any damages that they had inflicted upon my property.
After searching high and low in stores and on the internet for a Lease that would prevent this from ever happening again, I realized that all of the Leaseâ€™s out there pretty much failed. They were all geared towards making both the Landlord and Tenant feel safe. Personally, and pardon my French, I donâ€™t really give a damn about my Tenantâ€™s comfort level when signing my Lease! I want my rights protected, I want my property protected, and I want my rent protected. Finally, I want to have the right to tell the Tenant that if they donâ€™t play by my rules, itâ€™s time to go and I donâ€™t want to have to worry about a Lease that wonâ€™t back me up.
